Blazers are an absolute staple in every wardrobe as they are so diverse, last for years and they are truly timeless.
You can wear the most simple outfit and it will instantly be transformed with the addition of a blazer, which is why we love them so much.
So, we’re here to introduce 4 different ways you can style a statement blazer this Autumn/Winter.
To ensure your blazer is timeless, we would recommend choosing a really classic fit and either a plain black, cream, nude or dogtooth blazer (in black and white or neutral colours), to make sure you can wear and love your blazer for years to come.
Now that you’ve decided which kind of blazer you want, let’s find out how to style it!
Jeans and a Vest Top
For our first outfit idea we’ve got something super simple; jeans and a plain vest top! You can style it with heeled boots, heels or chunky trainers depending on where you’re going, then simply add your blazer and the entire outfit will just come to life!
This is such a simple outfit but it looks so effortlessly stylish every time. Plus, you can mix and match the jeans and tops to create so many different combinations of outfit.
By choosing the vest top rather than a higher neck top, you can also go big with the accessories, like a statement emerald necklace to go with your vintage emerald rings, to really bring something special to the outfit if you’re heading out for the night!
Skirt, Turtleneck and Tights
Next up, if you’re looking for something a bit warmer on the colder days through Autumn and Winter, then put on a pair of tights, your favourite turtleneck jumper and a cute skirt.
This is such a simple yet stunning outfit, especially when paired with heeled boots. Plus, you can add an extra pair of tights if it’s really cold, an extra layer under your turtleneck and a scarf so you can feel so comfy and cosy without your outfit changing much at all.
Again, you can mix and match to make the most of everything you already have in your wardrobe for this look.
As A Full Suit
Another way to style a statement blazer is perhaps the most obvious, which is to wear it with trousers as a full womens suit! You could get matching trousers with your blazer, or go for something contrasting, then wear it as a full suit together with either a vest top or shirt underneath.
If you do decide to buy a matching suit, you will have so many different combinations that you can make by combining the blazer and trousers with different things, so you have a range of stunning outfits ready to go.
Perfect for everything from work to dinner out with your friends, having a full suit in your wardrobe is always a good idea.
With A Dress
Our final tip is to wear your blazer over your dress! Again, this is such a simple tip, but great for Autumn/Winter when you want to look dressy but it’s a bit too cold outside to just wear a dress!
Little black dresses always look great under a blazer, then if it’s really cold, you can of course add tights, but for the slightly warmer days and nights, just the dress and blazer looks beautiful every time.
